Dressed in figure-hugging work-out gear, Kerr is shown doing yoga with her growing belly clearly visible.

Kerr, who is married to Hollywood favourite Orlando Bloom, is almost five months pregnant with the good-looking couple’s first child.

She and Bloom became engaged in June, tied the knot in July, and confirmed parenthood was pending last month.

Bloom is soon to head to Germany to film his role on the big-budget swashbuckling adventure The Three Musketeers.

A magazine that escapes its own pages to become real in the hands of its readers. GIRLS ON FILM: For last year’s launch of Fashion’s Night Out, Anna Wintour drummed up a bevy of New York designers for the public service announcement, and had them filmed against a white studio backdrop. This time around, the mandate was to take the PSA to the streets of New York, with top models navigating the five boroughs wearing designer party dresses and the official Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt, which benefits the New York City AIDS fund.

Trey Laird of Laird + Partners developed the segment, and Peter Lindbergh, who recently returned to Vogue after years working for Harper’s Bazaar, filmed models Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini, Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kebede, Karolina Kurkova, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Stella Tennant, Lily Donaldson, Sasha Pivovarova and Jourdan Dunn. “This year, it was really about fashion hitting the streets,” Laird told WWD. “It was important that all of New York City was represented.”

The models were filmed across the city over two days at such locations as PS 1 in Long Island City, the Bronx Zoo, Central Park and Lincoln Center, the new home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. David Bowie gave permission to use his 1980 hit “Fashion” for the soundtrack, after Laird asked Bowie’s wife, Iman, when the two were working together on the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards Journal.

The 30-, 15- and 10-second spots launch on network TV, in taxi cabs and online today, and from Sept. 3 to 10 will be shown nine times an hour on the Toshiba screen in Times Square. — Marc Karimzadeh

It was quite a spectacle on the beaches of Long Island, New York, where photographer Peter Lindbergh gathered Victoria’s Secret models Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, and Alessandra Ambrosio for a spread in the September issue of Vogue. The 27-year-old, who is one of the world’s highest paid models, earned more than $4 million in the past year.

But her income in the short term is expected to be slashed as the Gunnedah girl, who is four months pregnant, steps away from the limelight.

Kerr, who has previously said she would like to settle down with actor husband Orlando Bloom, 33, and raise a family, will miss out on fees for photo shoots and catwalk shows.

But Priscilla’s Model Management owner Priscilla Leighton-Clark said Kerr could use the pregnancy as a platform for bigger pay cheques in the future.

“When you reach the level that she has, you can pick and choose your jobs,” Ms Leighton-Clark said.

“Because she is a household name, especially here in Australia, the pregnancy could, in fact, increase

her appeal.”

Chadwick Models managing director Martin Walsh said Kerr could step away from the limelight and make a comeback at her own pace.

“Each model is different but if you look at people like Gisele (Bundchen), it shows that you don’t need to walk away from the industry,” Mr Walsh said.

“It depends on the model but many do step away during the pregnancy and come back later.”

The first paparazzi shot of Kerr’s baby bump is expected to fetch up to $200,000 with Woman’s Day and New Idea competing for the photographs.

Kerr and Bloom wed in July, one month after announcing their engagement.
