MODERN, minimalist and monochromatic is the hot look for this year’s Spring racing season, as demonstrated by supermodel Miranda Kerr.
The 26-year-old catwalk queen made a star turn at the Caulfield Cup in Melbourne yesterday, and today she will head home to Rocklea, in suburban Brisbane, for a community rally to raise money for the Kids Helpline charity.
Her Hollywood beau, Orlando Bloom, is rumoured to be in tow. Miranda’s mother, Therese Kerr, said the actor was trying to work the trip into his schedule.
Although she reportedly earns about $1.1 million a year from her contract with lingerie company Victoria’s Secret, Miranda has other irons in the fire – her self-esteem book for young women, Treasure Yourself, comes out early next year and she’s just announced a range of organic skincare.
“If I can help and make a positive difference in the world then why not?” she said. “I have a desire to encourage people to really nurture themselves and appreciate their own uniqueness.”
After the Brisbane rally Miranda will head straight back to the US for the Victoria’s Secret runway fashion show extravaganza.
